Peng Chau is a tiny Island to the west of HK off the coast of Lantau, the biggest island in Hong Kong. Peng Chau was once a fishing village. Now I think a couple of boats still operate from Peng Chau.
Approach Peng Chau … you can see the bridge that links Peng Chau to Tai Lei, a tiny island off the shore of Peng Chau.
Under the big tree is the popular meeting place for the few remaining Peng Chau islanders, mostly retirees.
Cars are not permitted in Peng Chau, so people in a hurry ride bicycles to get around the island.
The Turtle Rock on Tai Lei Island - the HK Disney is on the shore of Lantau across the thin strip of water.
The final resting place of a couple of small boats …
At the edge of the Tai Lei Mini Beach (yes, this is what it said on Google Map) is a big tree which is another great meeting place for the folks in Peng Chau.
The Tai Lei Island Pier which is mainly used by Anglers nowadays.
Peng Chau like other islands in Hong Kong also has a Tin Hau (Mazu, a sea goddess) Temple.
In the past few years, young artists move to Peng Chau in search of energy to fuel their creativity.
